Description
A highly collectible, french inspired midcentury rocker by Lee Woodard. This rocking chair came from an interior designer’s home, where it was bought in the 1960s and kept in the family for several decades. It was recently re-upholstered. The chair is very unique and is constructed of brass, a wood bottom, metal accents (enamel) and tufted leather (or faux leather?) upholstery.
Chair in good to very good vintage condition. There is some wear to the brass, particularly on the arms where it looks more silver than bronze. A few paint splatters on frame and one decorative cap was loose so we re-glued. Upholstery is new and in excellent condition. As this is a collectible antique, we did not touch this piece up except to re-glue the cap.
Approximate measures: Seat: 21″w, 20″d, 18″sh, 28″arm to arm, 40″ overall depth, 38″tall.
